Not so long ago, I attended a MediaBistro Book Club, and I am glad I did. I got to hear about some really great books in shelves today. Amongst these great books was a fabulous book that I carry with me very often and use it for reference and guidance, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Social Media Marketing, by Jennifer Abernethy.
This book is a must own, must read, must share with someone type of book. I consider myself a savvy social media person, but after reading this book, I’ve realized how much more there is to Social Media and how it can be used for marketing your business, blog, etc…
Who is this book for?
This book is for everyone that is into or has an understanding of social media sites, someone that knows how to use and navigate through the internet; someone that has a Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, or any other social media site account and is ready to take it to the next level in order to make it work for them. This book is clearly as the name states, Social Media Marketing.
What will you learn?
You will learn an array of things, from how to set up your account (Twitter, FB, Myspace, LinkedIn, etc…) to which tools and apps to use to start your social media marketing.
I already know how to use these social networks, what new stuff can I learn that I don’t already know?!
Plenty. I can start to list them, but it would make this post way too long. As I said before, you might think you know everything there is to know about social media marketing but after reading this book you’ll realize you don’t.
With that being said, I highly recommend picking up a copy of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Social Media Marketing, by Jennifer Abernethy. Connect with Jennifer via Twitter, she’s pretty friendly and social media savvy, so feel free to ask her anything, @saleslounge.
