Which Daily Tasks Take Up the Most of Your Energy?

There are several things that take up most of my energy, not necessarily in a bad way, as long as what is draining me is allowing me to be productive as well. As you read from my previous post, I am not a person that likes to be bored or kill time doing nothing. It is in my nature to always do something. Multitasking is my middle name and I can say I multitask pretty well.

Below are some things that takes most of my energy:

  • Tending to “my dog” (Canela).
  • Getting ready for work in the morning.
  • Preparing meals.
  • Watching TV
  • Blogging
  • School work
  • Work
  • Being bored at work
  • Having an intense workout session.

Like I mentioned before, some of these things might take up most of my energy, but not always in a bad way. Some of these activities provide me energy, like exercising after a long draining day. Working out provides that natural high/burst of energy to get me through the rest of the day.

Hey Arie!! I stumbled upon your blog from BlogHer!! I'm slowly getting out of the multi-tasking mode and trying to drop the things that take up a lot of my time!

Emailing has totally drained my energy!! I used to come home every day and sift through a pile of email — which would take me a good 30 minutes.

I've decided to "chunk" my time and only check personal emails twice a week – Wednesday and Sunday! On top of that I have unsubscribed to a lot of newsletters that I don't read. This has made all of the difference!!!

Also, research is a large one. I spend a lot of time looking things up. I started using Fiverr a month ago and it's been pretty good!

Cheers,
JK
