KMP blog kicked off Internet week by attending a fabulous event hosted by The Kitten Lounge fabulous owner Kimmie Smith (@AccessoryExpert) and a few other notable names, including Jason Metz of To Be A Star and sponsored by Forever 21. The Walk on Water fashion turned out to be a great event. It was held at a beautiful location/venue, The Frying Pan, Pier 66 on the Westside Hwy, an unique lounge/bar/afterwork spot, right on the Hudson River.
Press and VIPs arrived earlier to be able to set up their equipment and get good seats to capture the models strutting their Forever 21 Summer collection. The Frying Pan, was crowded before the regular attendees arrived, it was a lot of Press and VIPs, that once the attendees arrived, it turned out to be , one crowded, slightly unorganized event, but that didn’t stop everyone from having a great time.
The Fashion Show:
Forever 21 sponsored the event, by providing some of their Summer 2010 collection to be shared with us and to announce their brand new store on 42nd street.
We got to see some really comfortable-looking active wear, as well as some casual and swimwear, and it ended with a collection of really cute, summer cocktail dress, in variety of styles and colors. I really enjoyed the dress collection, I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for some of those this Summer.
Some of the guests were given Forever 21 giftbags which included makeup items (s/a lip gloss, foundation, powder, and other small items). The giftbags were limited, as they ran out before the show ended, or people realized they were being given out.
Overall the event was a great success!
