New York Road Runners is known for organizing some of New York City best road races, including one of the World Marathon Majors, TCS NYC Marathon. NYRR started this new program called Open Run. Open Run is free weekly runs in local neighborhood parks all over NYC. All runs are directed by volunteers and are free to all participants. Check out some of the locations in the image below.
Cunningham Park had their first local run happen this past weekend and despite the rain, it was a success.
Many of us came out to volunteer and to run.
The course was pretty simple yet challenging. 3 loops around for a total of 2.66 miles. You can walk or run, and we don’t leavr until the last person crosses the finish line. No one gets left behind.
Cunningham Park Open Run meets every Sunday at 9am. Rain or Shine. Visit https://www.nyrr.org/openrun?queueittoken=e_2024nyrrwaitingroom~ts_1731589525~ce_true~rt_safetynet~h_cd95a33fcf5d667b1964a9c89abcc8c302521a2beb2734ccbe22a6b4e1e87f8d for more information and to join us.
