This year I have changed my eating habits a bit especially when it comes to my favorite meal of the day, breakfast. I’m a cereal eater; I love cereal with milk, without milk, and sometimes with ice cream (don’t ask). But there are times when I tell myself, let’s pick a better, much healthier cereal […]

A few weeks ago I attended a McDonald’s First Taste Event in NYC, where I got to taste an awesome addition to their Premium Salads menu, the Asian Salad. McDonald’s Asian Salad is a mouth-‐watering blend of vegetables including premium greens, tender edamame and snow peas, red bell peppers, and sweet mandarin oranges, as well […]

The Best Yoga App for your iPad
Article first published as The Only Yoga App You’ll Ever Need on Blogcritics. I’ve recently started a yoga program using an iPad app called All-in Yoga HD for iPad, (this app is also available for the iPhone). First of all I must admit that I never really enjoyed Yoga. I always thought I never had […]
Mi Bra – Sports Bra plus More

Twice every year, Spa Week announces $50 dollar treatments at participating spas throughout the US. Spa Week also hosts an exclusive-list media-only event, where bloggers, journalists, and other press/media people get quickly pampered for one night prior to Spa Week. This Spring’s SpaWeek event was absolutely amazing, this was my first time attending and hopefully […]
If you pay any attention to mainstream media, it should come as no surprise that water is good for your health. For years, doctors and dieticians have been spouting the ubiquitous “8 glasses a day” missive (despite the fact that almost nobody follows it). However, if you’re looking to lose those few extra pounds you […]
5 Ways to Motivate a Great Workout
At this time of year, there’s probably nothing you want to do less than work out. As the cold weather sets in and the stress of the holiday season takes over, you are probably more motivated to climb under the covers and fall into a food coma for the next couple of months like a hibernating bear than to throw on your gym clothes and hit the treadmill. But this is exactly the season when you should try to stick to an exercise routine.
The fact that most people have weight loss at the top of their list of New Year’s resolutions is not too surprising considering how much food we wolf down between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. With feasts galore, family gatherings full of snacking, parties packed with plates of hors d’oeuvres and high-calorie cocktails, and a slew of treats that you need a shovel to wade through, it can be pretty easy to gain a few pounds.

On Sunday, November 7, 2010, over 44, 000 runners registered for the ING NYC Marathon and amongst them was my friend Karen Lui and I’m proud of her. After her race I had to ask her a few questions that we might all want to know the answers to, I love her answers, even more motivation to start or to continue running. If you have any questions to ask Karen please leave a comment, but she seems to covered every question we might have:

A few years ago I posted this post: 20 Minutes to a Great Bod, at that time I was really into fitness and keeping my body weight constant. I slacked off for about a year and then got back to it again this year and I couldn’t be any happier. I am not a runner/jogger, I find it boring, annoying and pointless to run on a treadmill straight for 30-60 minutes. However, after I found this great workout by FitnessMagazine.com I found a new love for the treadmill.
The end of Summer is near, and this is the time of the year where we stop going to the gym, working out, and back to eating like crazy, because the Fall/Winter clothes will keep that weight nicely hidden. Right?! Wrong! I’ve recently joined the gym, ok, maybe about a month or two ago, and I am trying to make it habit of going and getting and staying fit. Whether it’s Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring, I will put in some workout in my daily life.
Best Methods For Toning Your Legs
If you’re looking to reshape your lower body, figuring out the best exercises for toning your legs should be a priority. For many people, the legs are the one area that does tend to be quite a trouble spot as we naturally tend to store fat there and have a bit harder of a time losing the fat from this area.
If you’re chasing after the goal to get six pack abs, performing some regular bodyweight exercises can help you get there faster. Remember that clearly seeing your ab muscles will come down to maintaining a level of body fat that’s low enough, but once you’re working on your diet to accomplish that, the following will nicely tone and define the whole abdominal region.
Do you have a demanding work schedule or busy social life that stops you from eating and exercising as you should in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle? There are a lot of people that are having troubles finding the time to lose weight, but there are still ways that you can drop a few pounds even if you lead a busy lifestyle.
There are some really good television shows out there these days – too many, in fact. If you’re like me, you may find your various daily activities and routines working around the schedules of your favorite shows. Of course, this can be tricky since there are so many televisions series to choose from. How does anyone ever get anything done? As it turns out, with a little bit of multitasking and some planning ahead, you can have the best of both worlds.

The Myth of Good and Bad Cholesterol
A lot of folks always think cholesterol is not good, but you can actually classify it into two types. LDL and HDL are the two types – the bad one and the good one. If you have plaque build-up in your artery, that means you have too much LDL. This usually results in narrow arterial openings, which will mean a slower and lesser flow of blood.
Many people know how difficult it is to actually lose weight and build muscles at the same time. This can be a fine line which is very hard to achieve. However, it can be done with the proper planning, exercise and nutrition. If you need to know how to lose weight while still being able to put on muscle, the following article will give you some tips which can help you accomplish this.
