Although you are likely bombarded on a daily basis with movie trailers for the latest Hollywood blockbusters, you may have begun to notice that most of them suffer from a major flaw: they’re exactly the same schlock you’ve seen a million times. Take for example the new Denzel Washington vehicle about a runaway train. What’s the name of it? Who cares! It should be called Artificial Tension, because that’s all it is.
In the sci-fi thriller Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth. In a matter of hours we will all be gone!
TRON is a 3D high—tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech—savvy 27—year—old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years.
You might remember Wes Craven from movies like The Hills have eyes, Nightmare on Elm Street, the Scream series. This psychological thriller kind of reminds me of the movie Identity. But then again every psychological thriller reminds of Identity.
I can’t remember the last time I saw a Harry Potter movie, I think it was after they grew up. I enjoyed all the Harry Potter movies when the kids were young, innocent, playing with magic, fighting evil, grown people that wanted to take their fun away.
A new film by M. Night Shyamalan is coming out on September 17, 2010. The movie Devil! The name makes it a bit interesting. You might remember M. Night Shyamalan from other great films, Signs, The Sixth Sense, Lady in the Water and The Last Airbender to name a few. His movies are always interesting.

Most of us are never going to be extraordinarily wealthy. It’s that simple. Chances are we might save up a bit of money from time-to-time but we probably won’t be able to afford a Ferrari or a big ‘ol mansion. But with studios throwing everything they’ve got into making that gold-mine blockbuster that will revitalize their sales, it’s hard to sort through the hype and get to the heart of which movies are actually worth seeing. So here are a few for summer 2010 that you can’t afford to miss.
