NWM 10k shirt

After 5 weeks of training for the NWM 10K. The race is finally here.

Am I excited? Yes.
Am I ready? Yes.
Am I anxious? Yes

I’m excited because I committed to something and I did it and now I get to finish it off. I trained for 5 weeks, and I made it to race day and prove to myself how amazing I am.

I’m ready because even though I know I can complete a 10K, I’m ready to do better than my previous 10K. I’m ready because my training got me here.

 10k stats

I’m anxious because I’m looking forward to see how amazing I’ve gotten. How my training has gotten me to be better than before. That is definitely something I’m looking forward to.

After my 10K, I will start training for a half-marathon and after that I will train for a marathon. I plan to do my training consistently so I can stay motivated. I also plan to use the NWM Race Coach Training Plan because I’ve found it to be very helpful, and the great thing is that you can start training for a 5k and work your way up to a 10k. I also love the fact that you don’t need a gym membership or pay for an app. Everything is free, download the NTC app to work on building your strength and stamina, and get out and run this Spring, the road is your treadmill, get out there. :)

I know the half marathon and the marathon will be much more challenging than the 10k and that makes me somewhat nervous, but I’m focused and excited to do it and that keeps me motivated.

Leave a comment and let me know how I can help you or if I have inspired you to get out there and run and/or train. I will continue to post about my progress and share things that have helped me along the way. Thanks for reading.

Great! I was training to my first 5K and had to stop my training because of my work schedule is to tight. But want to continue with it, because I like it. I'm not a runner yet but want to turn this as my way to get fit and healthy.

Thanks! I’m really excited to train for the half marathon. I haven’t signed up for a half marathon race yet, But I’m determined to do one or two this year, and hopefully a marathon next year. Have a blast on your upcoming race. :)
