Keeping It Tight During Marathon Training

Woman Green Socks

Last week was my first week of marathon training. The first week is always the hardest, especially if you take a break from running. After the running the Queens 10k, I had a minor hip flexor injury and I decided to take two weeks off running and focused on stretching, resting and light strength training.

Last week was tough for me, especially when running outside; I knew I would be sore the following days, so I took precaution. I drank protein shakes and before bed and on rest days I stretched and wore my PRO Compression socks. These socks are a life saver, they pretty much help me wake up the next morning ready to run again. Soreness is minimal, recovery is much faster and they help prevent tight muscles.

PRO Compression socks can be worn during or after your workouts and/or training runs/races, some of the benefits of compression is to speed up muscle recovery through enhanced blood flow.

PRO Compression socks deliver maximum comfort and speedy recovery times. Putting on these socks requires a bit more effort than putting on your standard socks, but trust that the extra effort is totally worth it.

True graduated compression promotes circulation by pushing fluid up from your feet and ankles to toward your knees. This design also helps reduce swelling and inflammation while providing critical support to muscles and tendons. (PROCompression.com)

PRO Compression socks comes in Marathon Socks, and Calf Sleeves. I love them both! The Marathon socks are the full socks, that cover your feet and calves, the calf sleeves, are just the sleeves for your calves, no sock part for your feet. The Calf Sleeves are great if you just want compression/tightness around your calves/shins, not on your feet.

Key Features:

  1. True Graduated Compression
  2. Arch support with just the right amount of compression
  3. Stabilization zone thru the sides to mid foot. Helps provide foot bed comfort.
  4. Open toe box so it will not keep your toes too tight.
  5. Wide cuff for added comfort.
  6. Moisture wicking materials
  7. No blisters!

We want you to keep it tight too, and help your legs recover faster during and after your workouts.
