Amazon Music debuted a brand new Amazon Original from Mexican acoustic rock guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela. Entitled “Gamma State” and taken from the sessions for the band’s last album, Mettavolution, the track is an intense and exhilarating guitar-centric sprint and can only be heard on Amazon Music.
The track has been debuted as a part of La Guitarra, Amazon Music’s new, global playlist spotlighting the best in Latin guitar.
“The first sketches of this song started a couple of years ago, when we started writing for the new album. We road-tested it on tour in Australia last year and it went down well with our fans there. However, as we zoomed in on recording Mettavolution with Dave Sardy in Los Angeles, it became apparent that it didn’t quite sit with the rest of the songs on the record,” said Rodrigo Sanchez. “So we are very happy that ‘Gamma State’ is now finally coming out into the world.”
